I Cover the Waterfront

New Youtube video!!

For mother's day we went to the beach in Provincetown and hung out, and it was all around a very relaxing time. While I was there I took some little videos and then I edited them together into the above using Final Cut Pro 10, which I got a free trial of AND AM IN LOVE WITH. You can do so much and it's plain amazing. But it also costs three hundred dollars. *Wahhhh*

It was sort of serendipity that right as I was finishing editing this we got a project in music to make a one to two minute video using music to create a mood, so I guess I'm pretty much done with that. Or I might make another one; I've been on a mambo jag recently and I sort of want to make a video with some Perez Prado background music. We'll see.

Dogwalking

When I got home from school yesterday it was sixty five degrees out, the sky was blue, and the light was just starting to slant and turn yellow, so I decided to take my dog out for a walk. It seemed that on that day the the flowers and trees had all bloomed, and the grass turned green. I made a little video of my walk, although Youtube has once again messed up the quality and added a border :'( I also took some pictures.

I've begun to come to terms with how much I love the patterns of branches and flowers against the sky. I take so many  pictures of them as a guilty pleasure, because the sky can always be counted on to be a beautiful color and branches can always be counted on to be interesting shapes. I'm especially enamored of the second photo. Right now there are all of these chartreuse buds on the trees lining my street, but they only stay in this phase for a couple days before bursting into dark green leaves. I amped up the saturation because I like the chartreuse against the blue of the sky. I feel like it could be some sort of origami print. I took the last picture because it looked like someone spilled water on a painting of clouds.

The song in the video:

Sunday Morning Pancakes

This past week has been crazy hectic as I've been trying to get everything in order for Spain, so I haven't had time to review anything :'( . But I bought a new camera yesterday, a Canon SX500, and I loooooooove it! This morning I thought I would try out the video function on it, and it's not super but it's good enough for what I need. So here have a video of making pancakes. And you should subscribe to my channel here!

Adventures in the Outernet Chapter One: The Ocean

I decided to make do a Youtube channel! I actually made one a couple of months ago but didn't really put anything on it, so I'm starting it up again. My first video is pretty dumb but I'm forcing myself to start somewhere. Although I am really annoyed because Youtube ruined the video quality and put this weird black border that pops in and out, so if anyone knows how to fix that you should comment :) Anyways, I hope that you'll subscribe! I'm not 100% sure what my channel will be yet, I'm thinking short vlogs and reviews, but we'll see!
